Big Love and the LDS Temple Ceremony

Here is the controversial temple ceremony depicted in the big love episode last night. There are a few things I noticed:

• The Temple clothes were pretty accurate (but something about the veil on the women didn't look right)
• The prayer circle was right on, the hand shakes were accurate.
• It's not too likely that a believing Mormon would want to risk the sin of loaning their temple recommend.
  

Specifically HBO left out a lot of the really sensational parts of the endowment that would have made for more controversy. Such as
The pre-1990 death penalties would have been a big ratings getter. And even the current law of concencration:

"you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

Each of you bow your head and say, "Yes.""
