Drunken Shrimp

Drunken Shrimp are now on my soon to cook list.


3 tablespoons olive oil
12 U10 shrimp, peeled with head on
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons sake
1 tablespoon butter
4 cups baby spinach
2 tablespoons lemon juice
salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. In a large bowl toss the shrimp and the olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  2. Heat a saute pan over high heat. Add the shrimp and saute for 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a large bowl.
  3. In the same pan, combine the honey, sake, and butter. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute. Pour the mixture over the shrimp and toss with the baby spinach, lemon juice, and season to taste.
